Welcome to the Today is the Day Changemakers Podcast, episode 23, 'Breaking Through Barriers' with Sloane, Core Belief Consultant.

What would your life look like if you knew, without a shadow of a doubt - everything you want is at your fingertips? Sloane's mission is to help women answer that question and break through barriers of what they believe is possible, while living out their highest life vision - now.

Sloane is a former business attorney turned master business & lifestyle consultant. She successfully scaled her boutique law firm in Santa Monica to over 400 clients while working 1,000 hours per year and traveling the world. Sloane attributes her firm's success to delivering a superb client experience and being her client's partner in business, not just a voice in legal expertise. Having been behind the scenes of hundreds of businesses - she had a unique vantage point to catch blind spots in profitability, operations, and her client's mindset around it all. After coaching hundreds of her clients to help them through their toughest business challenges, Sloane sold her firm to pursue her heart's calling. She is now a business and lifestyle consultant to ambitious women who are ready to expand beyond conventional possibilities and live and play full out while creating even more success in business.

She was living moment to moment and learned that, that way of thinking creates average results.

Do you know the answer to these questions?

  • How do I keep myself balanced as the CEO of my life?
  • What is going to move the needle?
  • What is going to make me feel good and what I am really enjoying right now? Sloane says this is not something entrepreneurs are traditionally taught.
  • Do you know what causes true fulfillment? It really is about curating your life instead of letting life just come at us.
  • Why do you think we are in need of getting permission to slow down and focus on what we need?

Sloane really shares where this all may stem from.

Something else to think about, if you are a parent and have ever asked your child to hug a relative or friend or to perform because they are talented in some way in front of others, but they don’t want to, you may be taking their power away.  It is important to allow people no matter what age to be in their own power!

Listen in to hear Sloane's response to if I knew then what I know now.

Thank you to Sloane for sharing her vulnerability and important information about self-care, self-confidence, and that at this time, right now, we all have the amazing opportunity to truly share and be who want to be.

In next week's episode I am joined by three amazing Changemakers for a YMCA Roundtable Discussion:

  • Ernest Lamour, President & CEO, Ridgewood YMCA,
  • Diana Zita, CEO, Hamilton Area YMCA
  • Laurie Goganzer, President & CEO, YMCA of Greater Monmouth County

This is a very important conversation as we discuss how all three organizations shifted during the pandemic, important current event topics, and listeners will learn firsthand  how much these leaders truly care about supporting the communities that their Y's service!
