In this week's episode of the Today is the Day Changemakers Podcast, I sit down with Lisa Allen—Coach, Strategist, Global Systems Consultant, Philanthropist, and Advocate for Healing and Innovation.

Lisa’s story begins in the 1970s, when as a young child she was placed in foster care. Daily abuse, isolation, and neglect could have silenced her, but instead she taught herself to read by the age of three and leaned on resilience to survive.

Despite unimaginable hardship, Lisa went on to graduate with a Master's Degree in social work. She has led human service programs for more than two decades.

Today, Lisa is the CEO and President of Those Eyes Can Heal, a nonprofit organization. She’s also the cohost of the “Journey to Divine Intervention” radio show and the creator of Journey to My Cup, a transformative platform.

In our conversation, Lisa shares:

  • How childhood trauma fueled her purpose to help others thrive.
  • The importance of early intervention and nurturing in childhood development.
  • Her five-year plan that she transformed into a five-month reality.

Lisa’s story is a powerful reminder that even in the face of trauma and injustice, it is possible to rebuild a life filled with dignity, purpose, and service to others.
